I am not familiar with the modoc sheriff's department , but I will say Iam a pit river tribal member an up standing citizen of my community , I did have to go to the modoc sheriff's in regards to a civil issue and I must say I never felt so discriminated against until I presented court documents that where disregarded like nothing.

My sister has been incarcerated at the Modoc County Jail and all the sherriffs and staff have done a stand up coordinating with me to get my sister on a good track when she is released all the while treating her with dignity and compassion as she suffers from mental health.. I'm really thankful for the way they run their facility.

Yesterday my destination was Alturas and I was looking for an RV Park. Both parks in town were full, so I called the Standish Park, and they were full. While contemplating my next move a Deputy drove past me, so I followed him, hoping he was going to the office. He went to a gas pump so I approached him. He was very cordial with a nice smile and great demeanor. I was impressed with him. I laid out my situation and he immediately had the solution, an RV Park down the road a bit. I don’t know his name, but a big thank you from me to him. I feel your department’s lucky to have such a fine young man.
