As fairly experienced home buyers (we’ve purchased 6 properties over the past 9 years) we wondered at first if we even needed to hire a realtor, but Ruthy proved both times how valuable it is to have a knowledgeable realtor on your side. When we found our dream home, there were 4 other offers on the table, and we were sure that we weren’t going to get it- we didn’t have a huge amount of cash to put down as a deposit like the other buyers. However, Ruthy made some suggestions for how we could craft our offer to be more appealing, and to our surprise and delight our offer was selected! She also helped us navigate the extremely stressful situation of having our appraisal come in below the list price. Again, we relied on her expertise to help us negotiate with the sellers and were able to come to a solution that both parties were happy with. For the sale of our home, we were sure that we would be losing a significant amount of money in the transaction since we had owned our home for less than a year. However, Ruthy was able to get us an offer that allowed us to just about break even! We were able to land the home of our dreams and get out of an impulse buy in less than a month.
