My favorite beach in all Jefferson county . Unfortunately it's no longer easy to find parking on weekends and nice days as since the pandemic many have found this gem. I bumped it down to three stars cause ofthat fact. And some of the new transplant s have serious holier than thou egos. That can make a trip here kinda a bummer. Excellent agate hunting lots of nice sea glass. If you hike west after a couple miles you'll hit glass beach. You go east you get to fort worse. Cool bluffs. Important to know. If you go to class beach make sure you know the tide schedule. I do and still I once lost track of time and got caught by a fast rising tide and was pushed up to the bluffs and was boulder hopping to get back .the beach gets covered during high tides and you can get trapped. There's really no easy way out if you do .so pay attention..watch out for the homeowners in the first stretch. One in particular freaks out if he sees you touching a rock.. most likely a bay area transplant part of the decline of what this area used to be and that was a middle class blue collar town with alot of cool people. It's become a retirement village with mostly bay area invaders that have demolished alot of what made this area a special place. So if you have been here before and it was longer than ten years ago? Be ready for a shock .the Seattle freeze is very real here and very sad to see. But if you see one beach go here. It's a nice place yuppy baby boomers aside .

The kids found a variety of sea animals. There is pieces of sea glass to be found on this beach, however if you want to find bigger pieces, you have to walk down a rocky beach that is hard to walk. Make sure you check tide chart so you don't get stuck down the beach. We only walked a little way and were able to find some treasures. It is a nice beach for beach combing. There are also trails that lead to Fort Worden. There aren't any bathrooms located at the park, but there are a couple port-a-potties across the grass area.

Beautiful beach lots of space to rock hound, but limited on parking. Dog friendly, there are some spots where the rocks/crustaceans on the rocks get to sharp and would have to walk up closer to the bank to prevent scratching
