While visiting family in St. Helens we decided to try the oyo hotel. It has been there quite a long time but there have been some upgrades... The most interesting part of the hotel is that you're checked in at a kiosk with a lady who's not even in the United States, but I will tell you wasn't a problem. She was very courteous, kind on the screen and I was able to check in without any incident. Received our keys and went to the room. The rooms are about exactly what you'd expect. Clean, older looking but with a nice bed. A cute red Ohio pillow in the middle. And a very nice refrigerator, freezer and microwave. You park right out front your room so it's very easy access getting in and out with your luggage... Our night was very nice. The bed was soft and comfortable and in the morning the shower was very hot. All the amenities that you look for in a hotel not flashy not overpriced, just a good place to stay when you're in town.... Definitely will probably stay there again when we go to see family...

Don’t stay here!! We just got here super dirty and we didn’t know a switch across the room started up the ac. Manager came in super aggressive and turned it on. She made a bunch of excuses and said everyone was asking for refunds. Met a lady in the lobby with the same issues.

After paying for the room and receiving the key we started to move our bags into the room. It smelled of cigarette smoke. There is a sign on the front door that said no smoking within 10 feet but there was an old coffee can with butt's in it right by the front door (not 10 feet away). We pulled the sheets back and they had stained on them. It was washed but the stains were still there. Throw them away if you can't get stains out. After 5 minutes we decided we could not sleep in this room. I asked for a full refund but was told I couldn't get that. No personal onsite (all done thru a kiosk). I will never stay at another OYO again. Very frustrated by the whole experience. I just want my money back. I should have know when you walk into the front office there is a sign with additional charges for stained sheets, stained carpet, garbage left behind etc. Ugh!
