Came in for help with my car key not going in the ignition. The guy who was there sprayed silicon lubricant into the ignition and told me it is likely my key that is the issue because it was super worn. He managed to tell me that I could get the key in the ignition by giving it a little push. He told me that he wouldn’t be able to cut a key because he didn’t have the code for my car and recommended that I go to the dealership. He explained the next steps i would need to do if it wasn’t actually key issue. Unfortunately the explanation wasn’t very clear to me (mainly due to me not understanding some of the terminology he was saying) but at the same time his tone of voice wasn’t helping. I could sense he was a bit annoyed with me but maybe rightfully so because I’m kinda dumb and annoying. Anyways, I called the dealership that day, they sent me a quote for a new key which was super high. I almost went into the dealership to get the key but decided to call Ballard Lock and Key to see if they could help. Ballard Lock and Key ended up going above and beyond with reaching a solution for me, all while helping other customers at the same time. The guy there researched my car code on his smartphone, put the code in and cut a test key, came outside tried it in my car, went back inside cut a better key and tried it again to ensure it worked, then programmed it and charged me about $50 less than the quote I got from Pacific Lock and Key. I’m not sure where the gap in service and cost comes from but it was clear to me that Ballard Lock and Key knows what they’re doing quite a bit more than Pacific. I hate to leave such a negative review but it was night and day different experiences. 2 stars because I felt there was some level of attempt to help at first.

Had my FOB battery changed here and it costs $20. Looks on the high. It was fast, took about 5 minutes. The staff I met was not very friendly, he was carrying a straight face. Well, at least I got my key fixed
