This site was the cabin of a miner with a placer(creek) claim. The story goes that this miner was a dwarf of small stature. Hence the structure was built to those standards. In reality, and most likely due to shortage of materials, or time this cabin was built accordingly. This is the site of this cabin. It has been rebuilt over the years and burnt. The rock fire place only exists to this day. A rock monument and plaque are at the site representing the last rebuild by the scouts. This area has a seasonal creek and rock formations to explore. The trail is accessed accross from the Ross Grave turn out on the north side. This is a easy walk with cedar railing to guide the way.
