I dont think I have ever met a person who is more rude in my entire life. We were on a scavenger hunt from our Airbnb and ended up at her property because of a misunderstanding of directions , mind you the front says open for mine tours and it's a bed and breakfast plus a historical site. She stopped us and asked why we were standing on the property I gave her my scavenger hunt clue and explained very nicely what was going on and also planned on asking her how we go about getting a tour from her for the mines because our clue had the history of the house on it which said the mine shaft runs from under the house and across the street into another building (very cool and my kids were excited about possibly seeing it ) she proceeded to throw the paper back at me and tell me she has no idea what we are talking about and this is private property (no signs and it's a business) and that we better leave. As me my husband and kids were leaving she pulls her car up to me and says she wants to see the paper again I show her then she yells at me again saying I better get out of here and she doesnt know what my problem is coming on other peoples property I kept trying to explain and she yelled at me and then pulled the car forward like she would hit me I kept walking and she kept creeping her car forward so it was less than a foot from me as I walked I turned around and told her she needs to quit acting like shes go9ng to run me over and cut it the hell out what is her problem and she told me shes calling the cops on me. I then flicked her off as I continued to walk and she went straight to town hall and started crying at the door saying she was scared. She is clearly senile or maybe she hates kids and people with tattoos I have no a clue but I would avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of perfect houses to stay in where you dont have to deal with psychotic people who want to run you over in front of your kids at a business that they were looking forward to exploring. Beware / be aware. Not worth having your kids be freaked out and feel like their parent is going to get hurt. I posted a picture of her sitting at the end of the driveway taking pictures of me screaming about the police and if you notice I am on the road which is not a part of her property.

I booked this property for a weekend of wine tasting in the Shenandoah Valley. The advertisement stated that there would be a full breakfast served in the dining room, along with antique filled rooms. Upon our arrival and checking in to our room, we were met with sensory overload. There were so many furnishings in the room. It was cluttered and crowded. The carpet was very worn. It extended into the bathroom. Carpet in the bathroom is not a good idea. There was no way to open a window and the room smelled musty and wasn't particularly clean. The only saving grace was a ceiling fan, the mattress was comfortable and it was quiet. We were greeted with morning breakfast in a box which consisted of two juice boxes, warm yogurt, two cereal bars and two hostess pastries wrapped in cellophane. The coffee was lukewarm. There was no formal breakfast. The Inn itself is falling apart. The grounds are unkempt and the advertised carousel is tattered and ready to collapse. The reading material in the parlor was 10-20 years old. And what was most disappointing was the price of the room was $196.00. We all felt that the presentation of the inn online and in brochures was old and deceiving. We were hoping for a different experience. While I try not to be negative when reviewing a property, I felt this warranted an honest review.

Plymouth House Inn is in the heart of the foothills wine country. Sandra keeps a beautiful victorian ira inn with excellent service and a lovely breakfast. It's like staying with family, only better.
