Took cylinder head in for big valve install, cut valve seats and guides. They didn’t cut the valve seats at all and claimed they “vacuum tested” the head, when I can see light through the intake valve seats and it leaks gas. 0 abrasion marks on the valves. What a waste not having this head for 3 weeks when I could have taken it somewhere else. $350 down the drain.

I've been going to this guy since the 90's hea always been a little different, but I recently had him rebuilt a crank for a yz 400f for me, he tried selling me a piston kit I could get half his price anywhere, but we agreed on a price for just the crank, everything went smooth, Well now to a new project, a cylinder sleeve and piston kit, I traded him for a cylinder he had slaved already for mine, all he had to do is hone it, then he tried to get me to pay double for a piston kit, he agreed to 10 dollars over what I could get it for, then it took 2 weeks for him to hone the cylinder and tried charging me his price for the piston, he's getting shady here then the price was creeping up so I had to remind him of our agreed price, then he slipped me the recipe and it was 10 bucks more than agreed, I played it got out of there. My advice is to watch out for his changing prices at check out and call him out, I say try other places as I am for my next build. it was supposed to be 220 dollars for a sleeved cylinder and 60 for a piston kit for a cr80. price agreed 280. he tried getting 80 for the piston and another 20. 85 for random taxes and service. so I just gave him 10 bucks and ran.
