Had to get an outside wall repaired on a Single wide. Ray showed up earlier than expected with a notice & did a thorough job of finding a leak, and went the extra mile to make sure it was all watertight.

Very professional, fast, affordable & checked in weeks later to make sure the job was done!

First off, I'd like to point out that the first two reviews share the same last name as the owner, Ray "Finley". Coincidence?

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother. My mother contracted with Ray's Remodel and Painting to finish her Jefferson County vacation home. Ray was not responsive and not-punctual. When he did work, it was on his own-time. The work that Ray did do was amateurish and not of professional quality. He agreed to finish a kitchen remodel, laminate floors, two bathrooms, door installs, two window installs and a front porch. First off, he installed the kitchen cabinets and ruined my mother's brand new cabinets because he installed the pulls unevenly on almost every cupboard. The cabinet doors scraped the ceiling when you opened them. The laminate floors were wavy and a trip hazard. The laminate on the stairs was absolutely horrible and you can see the raw cut ends on each step. The windows he installed were not caulked and posed a leaking hazard. He assembled a front porch using miscellaneous pieces of wood, some were pressure treated and some were not. The under sink plumbing he did leaked because he did connect the plumbing and instead just placed the pipes inside each other. He installed the wrong door in my mother's master closet which, when opened, didn't allow her to access the light switches. When confronted about this, Ray pretty much told my mom that's all Home Depot has and to deal with it. Upon calling Home Depot, they had plenty inventory of the correct doors. The icing on the cake is Ray demanded my mom to pay the remainder of the money prior to the job being done. My mom was hesitant and first declined. She gave in and gave him the remainder of the money because she felt Ray was going to get hostile and trusted him on his word that he would come back and finish the job. Ray never returned to finish the job even though he sent text messages to my mother acknowledging the job was not done and that he was going to return. We had to hire other companies to come in and fix Ray's work and finish what he did not complete. Avoid using Ray's Remodeling at all costs!
