When depositing cash into the ATM and the amount totaled on the screen is not the same as the amount deposited, it takes a third party 10 business days to figure out what went wrong. Do the fees charged to us not earn us the right to have customer service? I'm disgusted with this banking practice.
Edit It took more than 10 days. After 10 days, we went into the branch, and no one had heard of our predicament. We had to re-explain what happened to us to several staff, which was very embarrassing. We were promised the situation would be looked into, and we would receive a phone call. No one phoned us. We waited almost two weeks more, then went into the branch again. Still, no one knew what was going on for us. Finally, the manager stepped in and heard what had happened. He apologized. He said he would do what he could. We were embarrassed and upset that we were so overlooked and ignored. After several more days, the situation was eventually fixed. This is a horrible, incompetent branch.
Okay first off the bad: They lock the doors way too early right when people are getting off work like 4 or 5 pm so you can’t deposit any money or take any money out of the machines and the machine in the drive thru is down 95% of the time. Either it won’t accept money, you can’t take out money or it’s fully down. Which is extremely annoying, especially when you pay to take a taxi or Uber there, you just wasted that money and now have to go to a different bank. I know why they started locking the doors; it’s because there were drug addicts going in there. My Dad had made a report to the bank about it when he went there after a job, at night and there were a couple of them in there, they had scales, drugs, needles, and one had a needle hanging out of their arm. He of course didn’t feel comfortable pulling out money to deposit it so he left. I obviously I understand them locking it. But they need to either upgrade/fix their drive thru machine so it’s not down all the time or have a security guard to be inside at night. Not even the whole night even just from 4 or 5pm to 11 or 12pm. So people getting off work can deposit money or take money out.
The incredibly good: This is about someone in particular; Brendan Hickey. I’ve worked with him on multiple occasions. Some of those were to do with sorting out some of my Dad’s things with the bank, loans, cards, debts etc after he passed April 2023. Brendan showed lots of compassion and did his best to make everything easy. He’s also helped me with my business (that I inherited from my Dad) helped me with registration, getting the name, getting a business account etc. He’s amazing, he made everything easy and truly went above and beyond to help me. You can tell he really cares and just wants to help. I will only book appointments with him if I have anything to do at the bank. I can’t recommend him enough!
