Rock Creek Lake is absolutely breathtaking! We had fished a few days in Mammoth at a few of the lakes. It was not peaceful to fish at those lakes with people talking loudly while on paddle boards or pontoon boats. We went to Rock Creek Lake and it was extremely peaceful and the fishing was pretty good. The few people on paddle boards and those in boats were respectful of others who were fishing. We later fished the streams and had zero luck, but the streams were also beautiful and we could see fish in them. Can't wait to go back to Rock Creek Lake!

This place is top notch for a walk-in campground and is so gorgeous all around the lake. I even went for a quick five minute swim. My only complaint was that the mosquitoes were a nuisance when at the campsite during breakfast and preparing the campfire/dinner. I would recommend bringing plenty of bug spray to sustain you for your entire stay here.

So thrilled to be able to enjoy day-use of this beautiful place. It's perfect for families to come and picnic, kayak, swim, fish, etc. We especially enjoyed walking the entire perimeter of the lake, on a well-marked trail.
