My HOA of 105 condos selected Roofing standards out of all the competition to replace and/or repair our 37 year old roofs. About17 years ago, I was on the board of directors and we've been planning and setting aside monies into our reserves for this necessary, but expensive project all this time. I trust our current board vetted the company thoroughly before making their choice.
My review is not based on their technical expertise, but about the fact that I've always said that "a business has no heart." Instead it is the people that run the business may or may not have a heart. Today I can attest to the fact that Roofing Standard's has one and it's beating hard and fast.
At 8 am this morning, I was afflicted with a major migraine headache that would not respond to abortive medications. At 8:30, workmen began pounding away. Anyone familiar with migraines knows that total silence and darkness are required to avoid an Emergency Room visit at the nearest hospital.
The roofing company had left a flyer taped to every resident's door with a contact number. After enduring the noise for an hour, I made a call to inquire how much longer I could expect the overhead work to continue. My contact person, Mark, advised that I could expect 3 to 4 hours of work overhead.
When I asked if another cluster of condos could be worked upon due to my migraine, Mark patiently explained that doing so would create significant difficulty to their schedule. He offered to have them speed up the work and do what he could to help me.
Ten minutes later, all work ceased and I was able to take a 4 hour nap and awaken migraine free! Roofing Standards and their representative, Mark, demonstrated to me that they were willing to give up their work and cost efficiencies to show compassion to a suffering senior citizen. In my humble opinion, Roofing Standards showed integrity and a caring heart today!
