You must consult with David if you're looking at properties in Russian River. We just closed a few weeks ago and it would not have happened without him. He's very professional, patient, knowledgeable of the area, great listener, tapped into the local community, with very strong communication skills. He knew of properties that were not even listings yet - but would be coming onto the market.
We are coming from the Bay Area and did not know the Russian River area very well, and David was able to provide incredible insights into all the different areas and neighborhoods.
He took us to a number of different properties, let us determine what we liked and did not like, and then would listen really well. He would add his insights as to pro's and con's which were also super valuable, and demonstrated his knowledge of the area, as well as zoning and regulatory issues to be aware of.
He would not ever impose his interpretation on any properties that we viewed, but instead he would fine tune his understanding of what exactly we we're looking for, based on our feedback.
He also managed the Closing process really well, proving contacts (e.g. a great local property inspector), timely communication, and good recommendations, making it completely painless and easy.
David made himself available on many weekends and would take calls in the evening to ensure great communication and timely updates. Strong recommendation especially if you're not a local.
I cannot recommend David highly enough and will absolutely work with him again next time I’m in the market in the Russian River area. He checks the boxes you would expect from a great agent: his knowledge of the market is impressive, his connections within the community are extensive, and his ability to spot (and solve) issues is amazing. But beyond that, he made the home-buying process about as easy as it could be. He helped us connect with the right lender for the type of property we were buying and, when the escrow encountered delays, he smoothed things over with the seller’s agent to get the deal done.
David was helpful beyond the narrow bounds of the purchase. He was able to recommend vendors, contractors, and inspectors. Without being asked, he provided helpful information and advice I wouldn’t necessarily expect from an agent but which saved me a lot of time and stress– e.g., he sent a concise email laying out who to contact for phone, internet, gas, electrical, trash and water services, and was able to provide specific additional advice for a couple of these.
Throughout the process he was detail-oriented, a great (and proactive) communicator, always available and, as other reviewers have noted, patient. Last, but certainly not least, David impressed me as a scrupulously honest agent, and someone I can trust. An easy 5 stars.
