Update on 12/16: Visited again as I’ve been out of town for weeks. Got warm welcome/goodbye from staff. Well, I’d say I still love this place.
Update as of 11/26: Got a speedy response from owner, bumping up stars to 3 for now. This complaint is being heard , which is good, and I hope it’ll actually make a difference. Will check back later.
Initial review from 11/22: Been living here for a year, liked this place. But today had very unpleasant experience with a staff member at register. The guy is being lazy and trying to push me through self checkout as there’s a long line and I got “2 items only”. Clearly he’s not aware that gift cards can’t go self checkout, in return he gave big eye rolling, huh. I didn’t notice his name tag but got a cashier name in the printed receipt. PATRICK, you have a lot to learn about your job, even more about manners. Timestamp is on the receipt here.
