Sam's is one of those businesses that are almost nonexistent these days: lovely people, amazing service, and honest prices. If I ever have an expensive/important watch or jewelry repair, it's one of those places I'll drive to from San Diego or Santa Barbara just to be sure I'm getting the best possible service and honest pricing.

This place is awesome. They did a great job restoring and resizing my fiancé's ring. It is over a century old but by the time they were done with it It not only fit perfectly but looked brand new. If you call and make an appointment they will resize same day. They even kept their shop open past closing time to finish it. The ring is also very intricate but they still gave us a great deal. Parking is a little tough hut if yiu are lucky the block over has meters theat are spray painted over so there is technically free parking

I got a watch resized here. They removed three links and it cost $30. It took about 1-2 minutes and that was a third of the cost of the watch. This seems insanely expensive for something so simple and I don’t feel it was a fair price. I didn’t ask up front how much it would cost and I wasn’t told. I’ve had watches resized before and it is usually half that, or less. If a shop is going to charge 200% what is typical market cost of a service, this should be communicated up front. I would have gone elsewhere.
