The Blaze - spicy tonkotsu ramen / pork, spicy creamy pork broth, beam sprouts, spinach, green onion, seaweed, egg and ramen noodles / 5 🌟!
I hate to admit it but the weather has an influence on my appetite. When it's hot I just don't eat soup and when it's cold I avoid ice cream.
So as it cools down, it is finally time for some ramen and pho!
Silverlake Ramen is a SoCal franchise that kicked off its journey in Silverlake. I actually live close to their original spot but I was in Burbank and hungry and it was chilly so I was happy to see their Burbank spot.
The restaurant has a lovely raised patio. The food is as great as the original. I love that the pork is a big slab instead of slices. It makes the pork tastier somehow. The broth was very tasty and ramen itself is excellent.
The service was nice and the decor is great. Overall, happy meal and happy afternoon full on ramen.
Worst service and experience, not like the other location at all. I ask for my appetizer first, it was not. I explained to her I’m allergic to peanuts, shellfish and seaweed so no seaweed in my noodle. She brought it with seaweed in my noodles and when I pointed it out she took it out with her hand. My waitress never came back so I had to send it back with the guy who brought my appetizers when they came. I would not recommend this location, maybe I need to go back and give them another try but not it at all.
I asked for another ramen without the seaweed and they brought the same one out. Before I even touched the ramen the waitress finally swing back around for the first time after taking my order and dropped off the check. I was ready to try other items on the menu but she had other plans. I will not be coming back to this location.
I literally went to Kopan sushi and ramen around the corner to have some ramen because all I was able to eat before feeling unwelcomed was my appetizers and I was really in the mood for ramen.
