stellar solar was responsible for adding new panels and a tesla powerwall 2 battery to our pre-existing setup that was first installed a few years ago. i had discussions with a number of other solar providers but faced significant challenges in determining what we required. the sales engineers from these other companies were rather pushy, with one even insisting on knowing if I was going to accept their bid before answering some technical queries I had. however, when working with Austin from the solar installer company, we were able to develop a design that met our requirements and budget swiftly. Austin shared his screen with me, guiding me through his analysis and the reasoning behind the design, which simplified the whole process. the solar company managed to get the design and permits approved promptly and had the system installed three weeks ahead of the scheduled date. the crew who handled the panel installation were meticulous as they worked on the property, completing the task within a day. all of the exterior conduit matched the existing roofing and stucco as they were painted the same color, but most of the conduit was routed through the attic of our two-story residence. the following day, the electrical team arrived to install the battery and all associated electrical boxes and breaker panels. the lead, cesar, and his assistant, austin, were highly professional and took great care to ensure the boxes and conduit were installed symmetrically and level, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing setup. all of the wiring and circuit breakers were clearly labeled. the final stage was obtaining Permission To Operate (PTO), which went off without a hitch. Austin came to the site to explain the full function of the system and the tesla smart application, which enables us to monitor every aspect of the system and adjust according to our SDGE utility rate plan. we received PTO earlier this year, and since then, we have saved a substantial amount in energy costs. our True-Up (bill for the year so far) is at a minimum. for context, our household includes a pool with a slide, jacuzzi, two a/c units, and six residents. our system is comprised of 34 panels and a single Tesla Powerwall 2 battery.

Our solar panel and battery system was successfully installed by Solar Bar Install and we've been having a brilliant experience so far. Cesar, our sales representative, was extremely well-informed and readily addressed all our inquiries. The preparations before the installation progressed swiftly, and they managed to accommodate us amidst their other projects, being adaptable with our timetable and getting us fully set up and operational in roughly three weeks. The team that executed the installation was very friendly, supportive, and professional. We did encounter one minor hiccup a few weeks after our system was supposed to be fully functional, which turned out to be a WIFI connection issue. However, the company sent a technician within a few hours to rectify the problem at no additional cost. We are already experiencing a decrease in our utility bills and are eager to see our investment truly start to yield returns in the upcoming sunnier and longer daylight months.
