Personal opinion, I don't understand why they don't price match. They're selling Pokemon Ranger for $50 and I can buy it at Gamestop online for 35. I get they need to make money, and I'd rather support small business but not for that mark up.
When I asked them about it all I got was "sorry our prices are our prices and that's that." Which felt kind of like, a brush one when they could have at least asked me what I was even interested in. (I hadn't mentioned thr game name at this point) Probably won't be back because of insane pricing like 650$ for pokemon crystal too. You can get it online for under $100. Came from out of town for this store and was very disappointed.
Edit: Gamestop doesn't sell bootleg copies. I understand not matching eBay prices, but if I can get the same game (in better condition. Game stop came with a case, yours did not) why would I spend so much more for a copy without the case when I CAN get it from another reputable source I've never had problems with. That is the difference. I wasn't even ASKED about what I was interested in. I want asked about where I had found it cheaper. I was not asked anything at all. I was brushed aside as an unimportant customer that the man working didn't have the time of day for. It was rude to not even maybe have a conversation with me about what I was even interested in.
There is so much to say about Sunken Treasures. Where to start....
First, Sarah and Christian are some of the nicest people I've met working in a video game store. They are courteous and helpful throughout my visit.
Second, they offer better trade values than most. I was impressed with the trade value that they offered me.
Third, the selection is great. They don't have everything in the world (which would be incredible), but they do have a massive selection.
I'm happy that I visited them today and look forward to coming back. Thank you, Sarah & Christian.
