The issue isn't about the amount they charge but the quality of service. The technicians were helpful and knowledgeable but when it comes to communicating with ordering the parts to billing to customer service you would think they don't communicate. One instant is that they told us Rational in the states did not have the part needed and would take 2-3 months. I ended up ordering the part my self from a company in Minnesota off amazon who btw ordered the part from rational in the states to order ( which makes superior's eta unbelievable). I knew this because I asked Superior which part they needed, they gave me the part number, I called the company in Minessota with the part number and they called Rational to double check that they had the part to order for me. It came in 3 days. We essentially did the work of ordering the part so Superior can install... because had they ordered the part, we would've gone 2 or 3 months without one of our ovens.
And recently customer service can't even figure out if a part their company ordered for us is coming or not. Called 3 times. 3 times they weren't sure what is the eta with the part ( you'd think they'll be notes or something in our history). 3 times I was told they'll need to ask another department and INSISTED they'll call me back the same day. Not surprisingly,no call back or update. It's like talking to vending machine that just keeps eating your money.
Bottom line I DO NOT RECOMMEND. DON'T DO IT. There's another company that Rational partners with in arcadia I'm gonna try. Again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
Which I had read the reviews because they are 100% correct. The "Technician" didn't do anything. Tried to blame the clogging of the ice machine on our commercial RO system. Saying the water pressure was too low. But they never gave us a water pressure reading or tell us what the water pressure should be. Took our $500 and left after that. Didn't fix, didn't diagnose the Ice maker at all.
We hooked it up ourselves so we're guessing something was wrong in the installation. Something not hooked up right, not tuned right or something not aligned correctly.
We have the same RO System and Ice Machine on all 3 stores. Previous tech would also blame the RO system and water pressure in the beginning.
But when we called Mark's Kitchen Appliance, his tech were able to fix the problem and 3+ years of reliable service. Never had to mess with the RO system.
Unfortunately, Mark doesn't service the Anaheim Hills area so we contacted Superior Service and they ripped us off. Did absolutely nothing. $500 just to stop by and say "it's your water pressure". Didn't tell us what our water pressure was, didn't tell us what it should be. What a waste of time and money.
We unclogged the ice machine ourselves and it's been working for the past 2 weeks so crossing our fingers. Maybe we'll just review some youtube video to see if we skipped a step / process during our installation of the Hoshizaki bin control, the trays etc.
