Today the county is still under COVID restrictions, but neither of the two folks in the store wore a mask, and the young man who helped me didn't put one on.
I brought five bottles to be filled with water, and asked that he wipe down the bottles and rinse the caps. He did not do so, at least not consistently. He saw me checking a bottle and finding dirt on top, but didn't seem to care, leading me to wonder whether maintenance of the filtration equipment is also handled carelessly.
Unfortunately today's experience was typical of recent experiences. Our family has been a customer of this store for years, but I think its time we find a new source for filtered water.
I am so disappointed that this business doesn’t seem to care when one of their employees, the owner’s teenaged son, treats customers rudely with verbal abuse (profanity).
On two Saturdays, November 6th and 13th, this teenager used profanity with me for asking simple questions. I was not being rude to him. In fact, we had a decent rapport in the past. The second incident really upset me and ruined my day.
I decided to go in on Monday (15th) to report the incidents to the owner, but the owner was not there. The employee who was there (who is always friendly) gave me the owner’s business card.
I left a message on November 15th for the owner explaining the two incidents and suggesting that he review the security camera recordings to see what I am talking about.
I would have expected that the owner would have at least acknowledged my call, maybe even apologize for his son’s behavior. I have not received any communication from the owner at all, so I am now leaving a negative review in hopes the owner will take the complaint seriously.
I have been filling my daughter’s 5 gallon bottles here for years. She lives in the mountains and doesn’t have the ability to fill them in the mountains. I have never had issues at this store in the past. They have a good product at a good price, but I will be switching to Waterland further west on the same street to ensure that I do not have to be verbally abused by this rude teenager ever again. He obviously has zero respect for his customers or his elders. I would rather spend $0.50 more per bottle.
His father (the business owner) doesn’t seem to care either so I will take my business elsewhere and I will recommend the same to my friends and family.
