Our family has a Sunday morning tradition to get together for breakfast, we enjoyed the meal. Pretty pricey, but you get large servings. Tiny coffee mugs! Took 4 to get a good dose of caffeine! Come on guys! Get bigger mugs, as it is the waitress has to come by every 5 minutes to refill. Some folks may not appreciate that.

The hotel is old--in a historic sense and has interesting decor. The lobby is inviting and somewhat rustic. We arrived late so had to wait for the manager to arrive and let us in. This was not really a problem as the wait was not long and the woman was friendly and helpful. The room was moderately large and the beds queen sized and comfortable. So all good to this point. The problem was that the air conditioner did nothing to cool the room. It ran constantly and we could actually feel cool air if we put our hand next to it, but the temperature in the room remained at 82-83 degrees all night--too hot to sleep well. The outdoor temp was only in the 70s so it is hard to imagine how uncomfortable the room would be on hotter days. The second big problem was with the shower. No matter what I did, I could not get water that was more than barely luke warm. Lastly, there was supposed to be free wifi, but the username/network did not pop up and the password did not work with what did pop up for the Cariboo Inn.|| In part we chose to stay here based upon other good reviews and the hotel does have the charm, was clean and the staff was friendly.
