I've been to the Clubhouse a handful of times. On every occasion, I've been disappointed in every way. The service is slow, not warm or welcoming, and in fact, the bartender(s) consistently display attitudes as if they're bothered to have to make a beverage, give me a menu, take my order, bring ketchup for my fries, refill my water, bring silverware after delivering food (that takes forever) and walking away leaving me nothing to eat it with, get napkins, salt and pepper, and on and on. It's apparent they'd prefer a job where customers order shots and bottled beer so they aren't put out by customers ordering mixed drinks and menu items.
In my experience, having ordered burgers, chicken sandwiches, French dips, etc., I was also not at all impressed. On one occasion, I ordered the chicken sandwich, which arrived on a roll, but the chicken breast was the size of a chicken nugget. When I asked the bartender if this was the chicken breast portion, I was told they were running low on chicken, so the cook was making it stretch. She made no attempt to correct the situation or offer me something else. Rather, she turned and walked away before I could ask to order something else even if I paid for both items. It was ridiculous. Sadly, the two small bite sandwich I was left with was terrible. Dry chicken, clear mayonnaise, wilted lettuce with brown edges, a single slice of tomato for the entire roll; there was NOTHING appetizing about it.
I paid my bill, left the sandwich and my beverage, and then proceeded across to the street to Raley's to purchase a sandwich from their deli. My Raley's sandwich was fabulous. Fresh, consistent, made with care, and had all the meat I paid for on it.
Every time I am invited to meet someone at the Clubhouse now, I pass!
