This place was surprising, but the reviews were spot on! It was quaint and nice and everything you need for a short stay and the gal that welcomed us was so helpful and sweet. The beds were so comfy!! The small detail I loved was the iced water in the lobby and the minimal but well thought out breakfast items i.e. toast, danishes, butter, condiments, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, and everything you need to go with that. Also, very clean!!

My brother was referred to this hotel by another hotel in Long Beach. We were used to staying at our Dad's in Ocean Park the past 16 years however we were here for Dad's Memorial service and needed a place to stay. It was a pleasant and affordable stay for four adults and 1 fur baby. Patrick and the staff were very kind. Rooms were comfortable and had what we needed for our two night stay. Our only concern for future stays is no sound proofing between rooms. I could hear everything my brother was saying on a phone call in his room through the adjoining wall. Also the guest on the other side had the tv on all night. (maybe they could blow some insulation in between the walls) No A/C however there are high ceilings with a ceiling fan. I would definitely stay again for the comfort and affordability. As someone that is familiar with what the building was before, I would say the owner did a remarkable job turning it into a hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fireside! Patrick the manager helped us check-in and showed us our room, the room was very clean and the fireplace gave it a perfect cozy vibe. We also enjoyed the outdoor firepit and had a great time hanging out around it. The location is perfect, we were able to walk to the beach and to the shops in town. Hoping to come back soon!
