I compared 5 different HVAC systems and decided to go for the Dakin system for its compact outdoor unit, noise level, multi-speed functionality and, of course, the price. On April 4 2022 we received an email from New Heating that installation of our air conditioning system project was complete. Subsequent events lead to the belief that this was not true and that New Air did not test the A/C system after it was installed..
Between the 4th of April and the weekend of Junteenth neither the heating system nor the new New A/C nor the new Thermostat were used. The cool weather postponed using the A/c and morning chill was taken care of by our gas fireplace.
During the weekend ofj Juneteenth an attempt was made to turn on the A/C but the new thermostat flashed a n ERROR message New Air was contracted and a service call was set for late in the afternoon of Friday, 24 June. The conclusion of the Service Tech was that a transformer was shorted out when the installers "closed a door on some wires and shorted the system"The A/C system had never been activated.
About a week later the transformer was replaced but the transformer sill displayed an ERROR message.. It turned out, according to the technician the new thermostat needed to have two failed components replaced.. Finally the system came on line during early in July three months after the New Heating & A/C LLC emailed l the "Project Fully Complete"" in an email dated 4 July 2022.
