I really, really enjoyed my stay. I went during shoulder season ( which decreased the recreation opportunities a bit, no snow, minimal hiking trails open) with my GF (her first time to Mazama) and we are dying to return! It was so peaceful and restorative. I enjoyed the sunny and chilly mornings, slowly waking and strolling over to the "Goat store" for coffee and pastries. The property was awesome, no complaints. Super clean room. We stargazed from the hot tub. There is a fridge in the room, a huge comfortable bed, and decking facing ponderosa fir trees. There is a separate clubhouse that has a range. The local brewery is very alluring and modern, yet feels homey with the locals. We really enjoyed eating at Jupiter in Winthrop and Tappi in Twist. Jupiter has yam fritters that are dynamite. Tappi has authentic Italian food served by a Wonderfull older man at a very reasonable price. Blue Star Coffee in Twisp is phenomenal. We rented E Bikes and explored the local parks and rode next to the the river. They let us move our stay because of the wild fires. I greatly appreciate the accommodation. In closing I highly recomend this property, esp if you want to explore the east slope of the North Cascades, it's a bit closer than the rest of the valley.
We hosted a long weekend wedding here and had a fantastic time being so close to the national park and Winthrop. The rooms in the Inn are nice and the entire place is very calming and great to spend time in nature. All of our guests were pleasantly surprised with how updated everything was. We were able to even have a bonfire after the fire ban lifted. They are offering breakfast now on the weekends and the waffles are incredible!
Andy and team are fantastic! We can't wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary in the future.
