I really need to share my honest experience with this place. My first visit was amazing and the girls made me feel great. Although every visit was constantly rushed and obviously not enough time booked. Most of our correspondence was done thru text they were constantly getting me confused with another bride. I wish at that point I would have gone with my gut and pulled my dresses and found a new alterations lady. I had 2 dresses altered. My ceremony and reception dress. My ceremony dress was way too long even when I asked her at the final fitting she told me it was supposed to be like that. I had to borrow taller heels from a bridesmaid just so I could wear it. My 2nd dress I got quoted $1085 to take it in as well as adding custom straps. It was a size 18. And I had lost over 65lbs since originally purchase. So i repurchased a whole new gown in a smaller size that when I tried it on at the shop it fit me like a glove. It did need minor alterations including tightening of straps. I got NO custom straps at this point. I was completely shocked when she gave me the new bill and it was more then the size 18 dress and i didn’t even have the custom work done like nothing from the original quote. She increased all her prices to match the first quote and I have been informed from other seamstresses that was criminal for her to charge me what she did for way less work. The new dress I ordered was a size 10. There’s no way I’m hell she should have charged me more money for less work. But that a not the worst of it.. I am even more upset that my strap busted off my dress during my ceremony. Yes, you read that correctly. My whole left strap busted off my dress during my reception and I was not only embarrassed but it completely RUINED my day. And it sucks to keep hearing from all my guests about it. That’s all everyone is saying to me after the wedding how they can’t believe my strap broke off. I literally had to walk around with one strap hanging down. For all of my reception and pictures. I feel completely taken advantage of and the audacity to charge over 1k to do minor adjustments and have this happen is absolutely devastating. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Worse experience ever!!!

Cannot say enough great things about this team. They took the main two issues I had with my dress and completely exceeded all expectations with it! When I first came back I wasn’t quite sure about some alterations made, they took that into consideration and absolutely nailed it when I picked it up today. They even worked through a planned vacation to meet the deadline for my wedding which is truly above and beyond.
They are also just absolutely pleasant and kind to work with. Would recommend them to any friends looking for alterations. I can’t wait to wear my dress!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Town Seamstress! The entire team is knowledgeable, professional, and so warm and friendly! They listened to me and shared their expert advice, and they made my dress fit me like a glove! They made my dream dress work perfectly for me on my wedding day. I wholeheartedly recommend working with them for wedding dress alterations!
