My psychiatrist is great. She listens to my concerns and we create excellent treatment plans and figure out what best course of action is. The front desk on the other hand, is a bit of a joke. Each time I enter the facility, it’s usually the same middle aged woman. Typically, I try to be as polite and understanding as possible - I usually try not to give people a hard time, I come for my appointment and leave. So, it’s disappointing for me to see staff of Andrew’s be so passive aggressive, and uninformed. I experience the most passive aggressive things when interacting w/this receptionist. From eye rolls, to deep sighs, to downright refusing to answer my questions. I had testing to be preformed and was notified that they would in fact call me if the bill would be over a certain amount- my psychiatrist had let me know that the front desk should be able to estimate how much it would be through insurance, and if not - as a fail safe they would call to let me know if it was over a certain amount. This receptionist had refused to answer my questions, said she “didn’t know”, which is completely fine. Not everyone knows everything but I asked if she could check for me and possibly get more information- or direct me to the right department or person who might know- and she refused. She said “I don’t know, I can’t really check how much it will be before insurance” (which we’d already established). So after a few minutes of talking back and forth I left feeling frustrated. Today, after having to reschedule an appointment, the same girl answers my phone call. I begin to explain my situation briefly and that I need to reschedule but I wasn’t sure about something- and she cut me off completely by saying (loudly) over me “DATE OF BIRTH?”. I tried to give it to her, and continue what I was trying to explain what I needed. Once again I was cut off and she asked me “what I needed”. I began to explain that I was already trying to tell her what I needed-before I’d got cut off. It’s frustrating enough to call this place and wait on the phone for 30 minutes to an hour on the phone, just to immediately feel disrespected. I honestly wish they’d get a better receptionist in there. Great facility- only downside is that the receptionist and desk is subpar.
