Do not recommend! My dog died last night due to their negligence. He was a Rottweiler. They were ridiculously scared of him muzzled, sedated and leashed. They never took labs. One exam they wouldn’t even let him out of the car but still charged an “exam” fee. He’d been passing blood. There was zero concern. No referral offered. No follow up unless I called them. No compassion for their patient. The Cle Elum location was even worse! Last weekend when he went critical, I begged for a referral to an internal medicine specialist on Saturday. Although the “dr on call” was the practice owner, we got nothing. NOTHING! I finally self referred to WSU and Mid Columbia Pet ER in Pasco. I had to call Valley/Cascade again Monday and beg them to send his records. Turns out he had a softball sized tumor in his intestines, not “IBS”, but to know that, they would have needed to provide actual veterinary care. Negligent and disgraceful. RIP Justus, 9/21/2018 - 11/24/2022. Run free sweet boy. I’m sorry we failed you by trusting them.
Update: Gets better. Valley Vet “didn’t like my tone” when I called asking for cremation. She is making me wait for a call back to bring him in.
Mt Stuart was kind enough to offer cremation even though we are not clients and they’re not taking new patients.
My dog is wrapped in a blanket in our garage. Sorry they don’t like my tone? I wasn’t using disrespectful language. I’m supposed to worry about her feelings? Unforgivable at best!! Do your pets a huge favor and find quality care elsewhere!
2nd Update: I added a copy of the letter I just received from the unforgivable Dr. Hayden asking that I “establish with another veterinary practice for my dead dog. His lies are repulsive. They offered zero treatment options beyond misdiagnosis and failed to send any referral. When I self referred and consulted with actual professionals, it still took over 48 hours to get the records sent during a life threatening emergency!! But he’s real efficient at resigning a dead patient!?!! Just WOW.
