Here’s a skirt I donated that I bought for maybe $4… here it is priced almost at $10. I miss being able to shop at my favorite value village for reasonable prices. The racks are so full and hard to look through. Most of it garbage clothing (lularoe, shein and other super cheap clothing) at expensive prices, probably more than people paid for it. No one is buying the majority of the clothes because it’s fast fashion at an unreasonably high price… I thought Value Village cares about the environment? These clothes are just going into the landfill instead of helping people in need of cheap clothing 👍 STOP PROFITING OFF CAPITALISM. ALL YOUR ITEMS ARE DONATED, WHERE IS THE INFLATION? This was my first visit to a Value Village and I was really impressed! I didn't wander the whole store but there was a huge selection of reasonably priced clothing in multiple sizes (and the jeans, holy crap, such a huge selection), and the shoe selection looked like it had quite a lot going on. My partner and I ended up getting four pairs of jeans, two pairs of shorts, seven knit shirts for eight bucks. Two pairs of jeans were Torrid brand and if you're familiar with them you'll know those usually run in the $60-$80 range.
As far as the employees go, no one talked to me and I didn't talk to anyone and frankly that's the way I like it. They were pretty cheerful with each other and the vibe of the place was pretty chill and relaxed.
All in all, I was super impressed and will be back to spend more money soon.
