I don’t know how this office has so many great reviews.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
I really wanted to like coming to this clinic, but unfortunately this has been the worst experience. I came here originally in 2003-2004 with my kids for their cleanings. Back then there were different owners and I had no issues with payments, scheduling, waiting after appointment times and all the other things you would EXPECT out of a dental office. I say expect because this is the bare minimum what you CAN expect out of a business.
I needed work done on my teeth, it was not a cosmetic procedure as my front teeth were breaking, broken and causing extreme pain. I was quoted at bright now to get crowns placed on my front six teeth. My daughter felt uneasy me getting my teeth fixed there and recommended to come back to this office for a quote. We called ahead and ensured that the clinic took my insurance and I was happy to hear they took my insurance AND after getting a consultation they would charge $1,000 cheaper than bright now. Could you imagine how exciting that was? The excitement did not last long. After completing my procedure, I started receiving bills from my insurance that they would not cover the work completed because it was cosmetic. I submitted an appeal and kept in close contact with their financial manager, Ginger, because the insurance had told me that as long as the dentist submitted documents that the procedure wasn’t cosmetic and the evidence along with it, They would cover it. I would call weekly and informed Walker family dental time and time again if they need absolutely ANYTHING I will go and get that for them as the sum that the insurance was asking me to pay was immense. I was promised that they would submit the documents time and time again so I trusted them. I called the insurance company and they were telling me the dentist didn’t submit enough information. I tried until the last week to plead with the dental office to submit documents with no avail.
I suffered with the broken teeth for over 8 years, it wasn’t until I had extreme pain did I go and get my teeth redone by walker family dental. These teeth had had multiple procedures on them. They were not salvageable and I truly believe if the dental office did their job, I wouldn’t have had to pay so much out of pocket. ON TOP of all this, I had a cleaning scheduled the week after Christmas. I was totally content keeping that appointment, but on the 21st they called and asked me to come in on the 22nd. They offered two times to come either at 10am or 3pm… my husband was having surgery that day to remove his skin cancer that had come back when they called me to reschedule. Because it seemed like there was a reason that they were moving my appointment, I agreed. I came in that Friday at 3pm and waited in the waiting room for over 20 minutes. I had another appointment at 5 that day and wanted to leave as they were taking longer than expected and the front desk informed me I was going to have to pay $75 if I left. Not only did they move my appointment, they were way over their appointment time and then wanted ME to pay for their mistake. Make that make sense.
The front desk associate was coughing with a loud deep PERSISTENT cough. Did no one think that maybe she shouldn’t be at work right before the holidays? That maybe she should be sent home? Was she wearing a mask? No to all of the above. I eventually had the cleaning completed and I informed them I would not be coming back to Walker Family Dental. I was walking out and the front desk had wished me a Merry Christmas and I replied “Merry Christmas to you too but you should be wearing a mask.” She turned red with embarrassment. All of this and in the end… who had a deep cough and a fever of 102 on Monday Christmas you may ask? Me.
DO NOT COME TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE.
