Wasn’t sure what yarn I bought so they tried to look me up in their computer but I wasn’t in it because I was never offered to be in it. So I bought the one I thought it was, shortly before closing. The woman working and I had a discussion about how I wasn’t sure which one was the same weight as the one I had at home and how I would just choose the best I could with no for-warning that there was no returns, exchanges and no mercy. I went back shortly after they opened the next day to buy the right size to finish my project and was rather curtly, informed of their no returns, no exchanges policy… even though I was there the evening before. I mean I get it but the whole thing was handled so poorly. I repurchased the one I need to finish my project but overall left a very sour and bitter taste about how I feel about this place.
I did go in a couple weeks later (today) and asked for some help on a project and received some help, so that was cool.
I just feel like the woman who knew I wasn’t sure on the size of yarn I was buying should have told me! I also feel like to keep me as a customer it would have made sense to tell me that they don’t usually do returns or exchanges but they understand the circumstances and since I bought the yarn 16 hours ago that they understand. It felt cold, impersonal and corporate.
I tried with another employee and received the same impersonal spiel about the return policy and now I’m stuck with this $40 thing of yarn and don’t want to go back there.
When you buy something right before a store closes and return it right when they open the next day- why wouldn’t they be more understanding? Meh.
