My fiance and I came here tonight. We made reservations. I ordered the tropical rush. BOMB diggity. I accidentally spilled it. Our waiter disappeared. As we were waiting for some help. 7 waiters walked by and never looked our direction. A busboy Carlos walked by and help us clean up, he even carefully moved our appetizers and gave us a new piece of paper. He deserves a pay raise. Shortly after, our waiter became more attentive. We recieved our food. I got the seafood risotto. It was good, my rice and clams were over cooked a little. My fiance got the chicken parmasan, he said it was good but the pasta was over cooked. I then got the pear-alicious cocktail. It was horrible. Tasted like soap, however if you are looking to get lit, this is your drink.
But man, that taramisu was FANTASTIC.
We will definitely be back.
An absolute must visit or simply a must for local dinner or lunch. Not only an amazing location in an old converted warehouse, but Zesta Cucina has such a warm atmosphere from the entry way to the dining areas.
Not the world's biggest menu, but when your food packs such flavor and hits all the notes, you don't need a big menu. I went with the Chicken Parmesan, starting off with the Brussel sprouts and cesear salad.
The Brussel sprouts were baked to perfection and with the added sweetness from the balsamic glaze was enough to please any palate. The cesear dressing on the salad was one of the best I have had a chance to try. Bold flavor and fresh tasting beginning to end.
And of course the moist chicken in the chicken parmesan resting on a bed of thin spaghetti noodles with the perfect amount of sauce.
And who can pass up a great dessert. And a seasonal one at that. The highlight of my meal. I couldn't get over the presentation of the peach creme brulee. But the look of it couldn't measure up to the flavor. The peach was one of the best. The creme brulee itself top of the line.
Would definitely recommend Zesta Cucina for your next meal in Yakima and explore the other shops in the area before or after your unforgettable meal.
