My mom went to the ER. Was admitted immediately due to her dire condition. People in the ER were extremely nice including the security guard. All the ER rooms were full but we were treated immediately even though we had to share a room She stayed for 2 nights. What is frustrating is there's little to no follow up after discharge. Even if they said they're waiting for results, they will not call you back. When you get a hold of someone, they will not share any info and will not let you speak to the doctor. "Go to the emergency" if you're not feeling well is what they say. Not helpful at all and no follow through. This is people's health. Do better!

I have had 2 visits to the ER in 8 days One for 3 stitches, every ER room was full with 5 in the waiting room The whole visit was a little over 4 hours Fast considering how busy they were My 2nd visit, for a elbow fracture I was in and out in 1 1/2 hours They were no where near as busy Alameda Hospital is fast and efficient as well as staffed with friendly people

The care at Alameda Hospital is excellent. My mother has been in and out of the hospital several times over the last couple years. Every time I have been impressed by how compassionate the staff are. In particular, I wanna give a shout out to the hospitalists Dr. Shippey and Dr. Isolani, and the nursing staff in 3 West. They are great about treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
