I had a brand-new gas furnace installed 10/19/24. The recommendation for unit type and efficiency is already proving to be the correct model and size for my house, 2 story 2600+- sq ft. Black Hills from their sales team, to office support, to installation team is 5stars. I am not one to typically do reviews for companies, I always have the best intentions to leave one when the service provided is great, but I typically forget. However, the extra mile the installation team went is worth noting. I also have a gas water heater which was required to get turned off for my furnace installation, not only did he relight the gas pilot light, he also made sure I HAD HOT WATER! That is one of the most considerate "extra mile" things that makes a company great and will be getting a repeat customer. Thanks!!!

Very disappointing. With winter around the corner and our furnace being the original in our home of 23 years I thought it would be good to have someone come out and inspect, clean and provide me with any information. What I got was a high pressure salesman that pointed out all the things wrong and his fix was to purchase a new furnace. We have a home warranty, as mentioned it is an older furnace. When I called, I told them it was working properly and I just wanted a cleanup and inspection. When he showed me the pictures and said it was dusty, I stated yes, that’s why I called so you come out and clean it up. He said nope, I’m just inspecting it. Then to finish the job, he doesn’t recommend any service just back to the high pressure of buying a new one. I pointed out again we have a home warranty and if it breaks down they will be involved but he didn’t like that answer clearly. The tech should be more interested in cleaning, maintaining and perhaps offering more services vs selling me new equipment. What a waste of time, money and my energy having them come out. I could’ve looked in and saw it was dusty. Very disappointing service call.

Following water damage to the crawl space and some pesky racoons I contacted Black Hills to inspect the damage to heating ducts, the 4 separate crews doing 4 projects have been terrific. Informative and communicate well. We are VERY PLEASED with the results.
Communication with staff and technicians, timeliness of arrival, polite, courteous and friendly people. Great work, thoughtfully done, the techs treated my home as though it were their own home. They cleaned up after themselves, as they progressed with the work. We are Very Impressed by their professionalism.
We have had multiple appointments over the last 2 weeks and each of the technicians who has helped in any manner is truly a craftsman. Thank you!
