This review is long overdue! Our two kids took several classes (Reading for Struggling Readers, Math is Fun!, Emergent Writers, and Spanish Immersion) as part of the Summer Boost Program over the last two summers. They thoroughly enjoyed their classes! Despite being online, the classes were fun and interactive! The teachers were engaging. We didn’t even have to remind our kids to log onto their classes. Highly, highly recommend!

Layla is a fantastic educator! She worked with our nonprofit organization over the Summer, helping students in need virtually for eight weeks. During this time, she was very skillfully prepared and implemented academic strategies that showed rapid reading, writing, and math growth. Her techniques allowed our students to avoid the Summer drop off and close the learning gap that had made it difficult for them throughout the year. She is such a great educator, always looking for ways to help her students excel.

Our kids work with College Advising Prep to improve their skills and confidence in math and writing. Our kids are learning efficient math strategies and tips to better understand concepts and approach problem-solving. The dedicated, one-on-one time is a comfortable space to ask questions, learns strategies and tips, work through challenges and offer more guided-practice. It’s also a creative outlet for descriptive writing and deeper thinking. Layla uses a healthy balance of fun and challenge with her approach to tutoring. Her friendly and encouraging demeanor yields comfort and trust with our kids. We appreciate having an academic plan for each kid to follow, and refer back to with the tutor as needed. We are very pleased with the experience, and definitely see a growth in confidence and skill.
