Had a great experience initially with sales and booking installation. Installation was booked for November 1st and 2nd. Booked our 2 dogs in a kennel for those days. My husband accepted a job offer in Ontario and we were now going to be leaving our condo on November 5th (luckily after the floors were supposed to be done). Booked real estate photographer for November 3rd. November 1st: some of the levelling compound poured, installers would return to finish the job the following day. November 2nd: vinyl plank installed in living room. Installers left to another job and returned to pour levelling compound in bedroom, would require another day to finish. Extended dogs kennel stay by a day, rebooked real estate photographer for November 4th. November 3rd: installers called to inform of family emergency and that they would not be coming. Supervisor was unaware of this and said he would have them come in anyways. They did not show up at all and supervisor then promised they would be in early the next day and finished by noon. Extended dogs kennel stay by ANOTHER day. November 4th: only one installer working in the morning, second installer arrived after lunchtime and took until 5pm to finish installing vinyl plank. No baseboards were put on at this time. The real estate photographer agreed to photoshop baseboards into photos. Installers were measuring for baseboards when had to leave to go pick up dogs from kennel.
What I returned to find was APPALLING. See attached photos. Disgustingly dirty baseboards of the wrong size were installed. Many baseboards were cut sloppily, there were corners cut THE WRONG DIRECTION, some places had no baseboards installed at all. Not a single piece of quarter round or the custom area around our sliding doors was installed, which we had paid for.
We spoke with the supervisor and sent photos, which he agreed were awful. He promised to order the correct sized baseboards and contact us for reinstallation as soon as possible and apologized for the inconvenience. It took until November 18th for another installer to come and fix the mess that was left behind and while our real estate agent was kind enough to let the installer in (the new installer was also shocked by the poor quality of the work) and send me photos, it should never have had to happen in the first place.
I appreciate that they made it right in the end and compensated us for our troubles. I still would not recommend using this company as it seems they were very timely with taking your money but took their sweet time to rectify issues. I could have done a better job installing baseboards with no experience. As a 5 month pregnant woman that was moving across the country this whole experience contributed to a ton of stress and sleepless nights that I won’t forget anytime soon.
