Minus an ample supply of Mosquitos and Deer flies, this is the most awesome easy access campground in the region! talk about camping under the stars this is it! Well worth the long drive up!

STOP! Do not poop yet. Hold it until you've got your backcountry reservation and set up camp at Joburg. Then go sit on the throne among the golden vine maples, listening to the glacial stream and the chirps of the whiskeyjacks. Gaze upon the monumental peaks above you, glance at the Doug squirrel peeking at you from behind the tree trunk, and enjoy the gentle breeze while you do the most beautiful business you are ever likely to do
